Good news, Google's just release the new version of the analytics api! It does mean that existing tools will need to be updated, but also means that we won't need to use the old atom based feed: The new reports are in a JSON format, a welcome relief for me as–quite frankly–having to use a format meant for syndicating web content to download reports was shockingly complicated and inefficient. When I first came across it I was amazed that anyone would construct such a strange way to format a report!

Anyway, I'm eager to try it out, but holding myself back as I know I should be working on more important projects at the moment. I expect I might take at least a little peak at it over the next few days though….
